From the title of the book, you would expect bad things. And bad things do happen, but some good things happen too. Maybell has had a challenging childhood. She faced teasing, Asperger’s, and supportive and yet puzzling parents. All the while she becomes a wonderful dancer.
Alex also had a difficult childhood. He never made the good grades, he didn’t really fit in, and hid father was always on his case. So he dropped out of school and did a whole lot of nothing.
However, there is always a catch to life. May and Alex went to the same high school, played the same online game, and noticed the other one. It wasn’t till fate throws them together do they start to make better decisions in their lives.
I enjoyed this book, like I have all of Clarissa’s books. It was thought provoking, passionate, and a fun insight into a real person’s life.
