Dani continues to impress me with her versatility on gene’s. This book was fantastic. It will own you right from the first page. Leah is in high school, and forced to have a pin pal from prison. She decides to make the best of it, it isn’t like she many friends that understand her. She is normally lost in her head with her own thoughts. Heath was sent to Prison for murder. A crime he didn’t do, but will serve the time for. He receives these letters from Leah. At first he could care less, what is a young girl going to understand about a man in prison. Not to mention the nine year age difference. But what starts as something simple, progresses to a friendship words hold together. They are able to confide in each other. Leah can find guidance and Heath can find escape. Neither one admit how they really feel after it is done. Heath knows Leah need to grow, and find love with someone that can give her everything she want.
This book had me all over the place. I loved Heath! He is the man women dream of. Leah is young, but old at heart. I wanted these two to be together. But how could they? At times I was yelling at my kindle, and others I was crying. This book is a must read book!
